Have you ever had a full circle experience? I was lucky to have a few and this was one of the most exciting one for me. Alongside my former teacher and current mentor George Harris, I was awarded the contract to teach at my former alma matter, the University of Calgary, Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Landscape, what I love most: Urbanism in the Canadian Arctic. Excited about the opportunity, we've lined up a stellar panel of guests, laid out the course and dove into the lessons.
As the story goes, the course was made available too late and the students had already chosen their elective. While we have been offered an alternative, George declined and I've supported his decision.
While a bummer for not getting happened, as it turned out, nothing could take away the skip in my step. For me, it felt as if it did. And who's to say otherwise?
